At the Johannesburg airport, Julia and Jacob pose in front of the plane that took us back home.
The Atlanta-Jo'burg route is one of the longest commercial plane flight in the world: a 16 hour non-stop flight - even this extended-range Boeing 747-600 can just barely make it. On the way back, they have to land in Cap Verde, off the coast of Senegal, to refuel. That makes the trip back take roughly 19 hours.
